Ishibashi Samurai House
There were about 5-9 old former samurai residences and some houses were open to the public. A samurai was a man who belongs to a high ranking social class of Japanese warriors in the Edo Period(1600-1850). Ishibashi Samurai House is a Ishibashi family's house, which was a middle class family in a samurai social class. This was one of the samurai houses, which had been used for the location sites in a Japanese period movie.

It said that this house was a typical house of a middle class samurai family. You can't enter the house but you can look in the rooms from the veranda.

A sign board hanging from a door header said 'Watch your Head!'

There was a beautiful garden. I would like to be dressed in a historical costume, Kimono, and walk in the garden.

right: A kimono, like this, was a traditional Japanese costume and up until the Edo Period people wore Kimonos every day. Actually, I've never worn a kimono...because these days Kimonos are only worn for ceremonies and at festivals. Kimonos are very expensive and more importantly, it is hard to dress in a Kimono by myself. I need a Kimono fitter.
