It had been snowing large flakes of snow since the morning. It was about -4 degrees in temperature. There was about 10cm fall of snow on the parked cars and the snow on the balcony was about 5cm high. It snowed every day but December is the begining of the snow season so the road was slush!

2005/12/12
It was fine in the morning but we had a heavy fall of snow in the afternoon. There was a lot of snow built up along the road. The roads were icy and it looked very dangerous to walk on. I slipped on the road twice on my way to work....

It had been storming since morning. The snow on the balcony was 8 cm high and on the sidewalk was about 20cm high. Nobody had walked on the sidewalk before me so I had to push aside snow on my way. I might need boots to live in Aomori.

2005/12/14
Snow, snow, snow! All of the roads and the sidewalks were completely covered with snow. The snow was already knee high. Although it was night time, it was extremely bright because of the reflection of light off the snow. It was as bright as day and there was a mysterious atmosphere. I thought that I could get back home while reading a novel. I have never seen night of midnight sun before but I felt like it was familiar.
