Takamatua Valley Lavender Farm

There was a lavender farm in the neighborhood of Dawn's house.

There were several types of lavenders and lots of buzzing bees!

We could walk around in the field but I couldn't get the noise of bees out of my head. I was worried that the bees might sting me. "Don't worry. They are very busy collecting the nectar and they will never sting!" Dawn said and smiled. But I was shorter than her and the lavender's flowers were right in front of my face. So lots of bees were flying from flower to flower just in front of my eyes! I was scared!!

There were lots of sheep in a baddock across the road from the lavender farm, just like everywhere in New Zealand.
