My last supper was a Kentucky Fried Chicken meal combo. I had it at a hotel. It was very delicious because I hadn't eaten such junk food for a while. I wondered if it was a reaction to the healthy life I had spent with Dawn! I went to bed early because of my early flight (about 5:50 a.m. !!) Of course I set three alarm clocks before going to bed just in case I fell asleep.

I went to Christchurch Airport by shuttle. when I arrived there before 5 a.m. it was not crowded. I asked a middleaged man working at the information counter where the airline counter was. But he was impolite to me. At the very end of my trip was the first time I saw an unpleasant New Zealander!
I checked in my baggage. I got a boarding pass to Japan and I had my passport and some money. As long as I didn't lost my passport and the boarding pass, I could go back to Japan. I breathed a little easier...

I boarded my plane to Auckland International Airport, where I would transfer to my international flight. So, in Auckland, I had to move to international terminal by shuttle bus. But my flight from Japan was a direct flight to Christchurch and I didn't know about that airport at all. So I asked lots of people around me and finally found the bus stop to international terminal. When I was waiting for the shuttle bus I heard a Japanese woman speaking in an energetic voice. They looked like a middle-aged-couple, who looked Japanese. I asked them "Excuse me. You are Japanese, aren't you? Is this the right bus stop for International terminal?" They said "Yeah, yeah! We are also going back to Japan, Tokyo." "May I follow you!?" I said and I decided to keep up with them. Then I stopped worring about everything and just followed them!

This couple were Mr and Mrs Tanaka, and I heard that they loved New Zealand and they visited there once a year. They said that they had been staying with a hostfamily for one month and went to a language school. They were cheerfull and friendly and looked like a really nice couple. Mrs.Tanaka smiled and said "I'm not so young and I don't know what will happen in the future. So I'll do what I like! I want to spend my days cheerfully!" ...Don't worry! You look like very powerfull and the word 'energetic' may be just the perfect word to describe you!! It looks like you must live to a great age!!!

After we went through departure control I bought lots of goods, some cans of butter, jam jars and bottles of wine. When I went to the boarding gate with heavy bags I first realized my plane was painted with a face of Frodo from The Lord of The Rings. I took pictures of the plane and I asked someone to take a picture of me with the plane in the background. Lucky me! But the inside was standard....(-_-)

photo:My plane back to Japan, which was painted with Frodo, the hero of The Lord of The Rings.

On my way back to Japan, I sat on the window seat and enjoyed my flight. My stay in New Zealand was great! I'll be back soon! Good-by NZ.
photo:This is the tip of New Zealand (I'm just guessing...)

I'm a souvenir hunter...?
