ベルギー旅行

The Market Square is a good starting point for sightseeing in Bruges.

There are lots of colorful buildings surrounding the square and it looks wonderful.

There are also many restaurants, cafes, gift shops, and more. Everything a tourist needs is there. Perhaps...there might also be some tourist traps there?

"Brugse Zot Blond (ABV 6%)".

"Brugse Zot " is a local beer brewed by Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges. It is a gold colored beer with a mild fruity aroma and a fresh hoppy flavor. It is an easily drinkable beer and it's loved by everybody.
By the way, its name "Brugse Zot" means "fools in Brugse".

"It's dinner time!!"
I went to a restaurant to try the local specialty in Belgium, "Moules Frites".
The Moules Frites is one of the most popular Belgian dishes. It's a large pot full of moules steamed with white wine and served with a mountain of french fries! There were several flavors to choose from, cream, garlic, tomato, beer(!), and more. I chose the white wine flavor.

With it, I ordered "Pauwel Kwak (ABV 8.4%)" and "Belle-Vue Kriek (ABV 5.2%)".
Pauwel Kwak:http://www.bestbelgianspecialbeers.be/
Belle-Vue:http://www.ab-inbev.com/

"Pauwel Kwak" is a slightly dark amber beer with a fruity sweet aroma and gentle scent of herbs. It has lots of body with a malty flavor and is a little bitter.

"Belle-Vue Kriek" is a lambic which is made by fresh Belgian black cherries. It's a deep ruby beer with a cherry flavor and a fruity sour taste.

"I did it!!"
I managed to eat everything. I didn't think I could eat the whole pot-full! That was the first time I had ever eaten such a large amount of moules! I worried eating whether so much food might give me a stomachache....

The canal night view from my room's window was wonderful!

As I had nothing to do but watch TV at night, I decided to watch my favorite video files, "Sui yo do de syo?(How do you like Wednesday?", on my iPod.

It is a popular Japanese TV variety series which aired between 1996-2002. This program is sometimes broadcasted as a re-run and is still very popular. It focuses on travel and during it's broadcast in 1997, Bruges was featured in an episode of the program. So, I decided to look for its shooting locations using these clues.
