MURPHY'S
Hight Street,Galway
I went to MURPHY'S. I pushed open the door of the pub feafully. It was a little busy although it was only 4 p.m. in the evening. I asked for Murpy's beer because my friend Toshi recommended that I had to drink Murpy's at MURPHY'S. There were lots of older people, one man reading a newspaper with a magnifying glass, another man writting something down on paper shakily, a third man looking at his Guinness who looked like statue. It looked like time stood still. It was exactly like the pub of my imagination!
O'FLAHERTY'S BAR
Great Southern Hotel,Eyre Square,Galway
I went to a pub O'FLAHERTY'S BAR which was near Galway station, because I had an appointment to meet my friednds at 9 p.m. I wanted to have dinner by that time because it was not good to drink on an empty stomach.... It was in the basement of the Great Southern Hotel and it seemed that it was part of the hotel. There seemed to be some tourists in the pub. The inside looked like modern style. 5 middle-age-looking women were drinking lots of Guinness which standing and talking loudly. I thought this was a common sight all over the world. I asked for Irish stew and Guinness although I would go for a drink with my friends. I drank a little ahead of them! I was ready to begin drinking a lot!!
