The left building was a national concert hall and the right was a national theater. I heard that this park was one of the centers of Taiwanese culture.

"we are boiling! "

We were very tired because we walked around the city from early morning.

It was very hot and humid and we were all sweaty.

The building behind her is known as the presidential office. It was originally built for the office of the Governor-General by the Japanese colonial government.

If you visit Taipei City for the first time, your eyes catch the thousands of scooters parked in long rows on the side of the road. These kinds of pictures are taken everywhere in the city. It seemed that scooters were the most popular transportation in the city.

We walked around downtown, near Taipei station, which was a popular shopping street for locals.

All of the signboards were written by Chinese in Chinese characters. We didn't know how to pronounce the Chinese words. However we could guess its meaning because Japanese use some of the Chinese characters. So the signboards, advertisingas and menus of the restaurant, everything was interesting for Japanese.

A young girl wearing a down-jacket. It wasn't down-jacket weather...I wasn't quite sure why young people were wearing such kinds of winter clothes. I wondered if the weather was cold for the Taiwanese?
