Te Papa Museum
I visited Te Papa Museum, the National Museum of New Zealand, which was on the waterfront. It was very huge and I felt that I wouldn't be able to see every exhibit in just one day.... In fact, I visited there two times. There was a wide range of exhibits covering Maori culture and history and settler history, as well as natural history of New Zealand. I'm not fond of museums normally but it was more interesting than I had thought! And the admission fee was free! I think that it is the best museum which I have ever been to. All descriptions about the exhibits were in English and so it took me lots of time to read. This might be why I couldn't look at all of them in a day?
right:
The character goods related to Lord of the Rings, such as rings and figures were sold at the museum kiosk. I spent a lot of time wondering if I should purchase something in front of the showcase! I just managed to control myself!

View over Wellington from the top of the cable car at kelburn
I got on the Wellington Cable Car up to the hill. There were three intermediate stops and it was unexpected. Because I had thought that the cable car was just one of the tourist attractions in Wellington. In fact, it was a common way to get around.

There was a quite residential area on the top of the hill

Wellington Botanic Garden
There was also a big garden on the top of the hill. I heard that it was a wonderful garden. But I took a short stroll there because it looked like rain any time soon. The weather had been gloomy since I had come here.... I was out of luck!

Well-known person?
It was a well-made statue on the street near the station of the cable car. When I saw them at night, I thought that they were a real person and a dog....
