Lake Rotorua
Is the second largest lake in the North Island and it was formed from an eruption. Because most of my stay in Rotorua was cloudy or rainy, so I had only a dark impression of the lake.... If the weather had been fine, I would have joined the volcanic tour, which was a flightseeing tour by helicopter or light airplane around Rotorua and the volcanos.

Mysterious animal
New Zealand's version of the Loch Ness Monster!? Black swans on the distant water looked like the Loch Ness Monster.

I'm bored!
I was just lying on my bed and reading a guide book...because the weather had been bad for the past 3 days! I didn't use the service of the I-SITE in Rotorua during my stay. This was my first time not to use the service of the I-SITE in New Zealand. Rotorua had lots of the geothermal attractions. But they were all outdoor attractions so I had nothing to do there in bad weather....

I-SITE
The exterior of the building was similar to the Rotorua Museum and it had also a striking design. Because it was quite spacious and there were always lots of tourists, there was no sense of crowding.

The information center had a nice cafe. I was having breakfast and waiting for betteer weather to come....
