Wellington to Picton
There is a ferry connection between Wellington and Picton. It is a passenger and car ferry and it is about a 3 hour ferry ride, 92km. I usually tend to get seasick easily, so I hoped the weather would be calm on the way!

Interislander ferry terminal
It was located on the north of Wellington and it was about 10 minutes away from my hostel by taxi. You have to arrive here 35 minutes before your departure and check in. It is the same way as boarding a flight.
right:
The waiting lounge was crowded with lots of passengers

I checked in at the counter and got three different types of cards, Boarding Pass, Pocket ID and Baggage claim tag. What was the Pocket ID? I was never asked for my Pocket ID anywhere....

Baggage tag to Picton
"PCN" stands for Picton. I didn't think that it stood for anything! Because there are only ferry services between Wellington to Picton.

Marvel heroes
There was a coin operated lucky drops of Marvel heroes plastic figures, including Spider-Man, Iron-Man etc. Marvel heroes are based on an American comic book published by Marvel Entertainment. Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and The Incredible Hulk...they are well-known around the world. But I am not a big fan of them. Because they look too realistic and they aren't pretty!

When I checked in, I heard "Please proceed to Gangway2 after boading announcement." What was "Gangway"?...but it was the way to the gate! Why is it called "Gangway"?
center, right:
I walked through a long passanger way and boarded a ferry. The ferry was quite bigger than I had thought.

It reminded me of the movie "Titanic". It was slightly bad luck to imagine such a movie!
