Napier YHA
When I got to Napier YHA, I was just exhausted. My place is quite far from Kansai Airport. I'd left my house in Morioka on the 31st of October, Japanese local time, it took well over 36 hours to finally get here! Even though it is not very far from Japan to New Zealand, only 11 hours on a direct flight from Japan.

Napier YHA is on Marine Parade along the beach. It was a short walk to the city center and it was a convenient spot.

Marine Parade. The wide street lined with pine trees was beautiful.

My room
I stayed in a female shared room. The room was not spacious or new but it was clean. There were two double bunks and a window facing Marine Parade. You can see the wonderful beach beyond the street.

Every room always was kept tidy and I felt at home. If I go back to Napier, I want to stay here again! The Napier YHA had gotten good reviews on several web sites. So I'd decided to stay here and I'd made a reservation in advance from Japan. It was a good choice for me in the end!

Reception desk
He was very helpful and friendly. He helped me look for a sightseeing tour. Of course other people at reception were also nice.
