Rotorua Museum
Is located within a 3 minute walk from the tourist center. The building looked unique and wonderful. This beautiful old building was originally built as a government owned bath house for tourists in the early 1900's, when thermal bathes were fashionable. Inside the museum showed plenty of information about the history of Rotorua, the Maori culture and the geothermal activity. And I could see how this building had been used in the olden days. There was a great difference from Japanese hot baths.
The admission fee was NZ$11. It is definitely worth a vist if you have time, or if you have nothing to do because of the bad weather, like me.

The view from the top of the building. The park around the museum was very nice.

The dense steam could be seen around the town!
Klamath Falls Rose Garden
I took a walk through a small rose garden around the museum in the rain. I heard that the weather was bad throughout the whole country. It was always hard to look for something to do while traveling when the weather was bad....
The bowling greens
I heard that it was a popular sport in New Zealand, England and Australia. The only bowling I know uses 10 pins. I had never heard of or seen lawn bowling before. Unfortunately nobody was playing because of rain.
There was a little steam coming from the ground in the garden.
