There was a beautiful long stretch of white sand. And there were many cafes, restaurants and lots of lovely hotels with the wonderful ocean view. It looked like a great beach resort.
Kiwifruit Country
A huge Kiwi on display. This was a sign of a Kiwi farm and plant. Because I looked at this from a distance on my way back, I went all the way to take a picture of it. Andy told me that there were a lot of huge funny signs in the countryside.
Rotorua airport
This was the third largest airport I'd had ever visited in New Zealand. The airport terminal building was very new and spacious. But a part of the building was still under construction. I was required to pay a development levy, NZ$5. But I would probably not come back to Rotorua airport so I am unable to see the building's completion!
An airport runway was right next to the Lake Rotorua. You can see a hover craft take off and land on the lake.
center, right:
The Rotorua airport is an international airport and there were many services from Australia. It was a busy airport.
This was the smallest airplane I'd had boarded before. Of course it was a propeller plane and it looked like a toy aircraft.
Rotorua to Auckland
I could see a pilot's seat in full view and it was a very interesting sight. It was a 40 minute flight from Rotorua to Auckland. While watching the pilots I really wanted to fly the plane.
