(?)Heron's Flight Vineyard
Was the 17th winery on this trip. I was beginning to really taste the difference in wine. Although it was still hard to describe about the taste of wine. Because I have a small vocabulary....

Honey Center
We stopped at Honey Center. There were many kinds of honey products, honey soap, honey cosmetics, honey candy...etc. And we could taste various types of honey.
right:
A cheerful Japanese, a friendly tour guide, a funny American and a big drinker(I)!

West Brook Winery
Was just off the other wineries and it had a quiet atmosphere.

I heard that 90% of New Zealand wine had a screw cap instead of a cork and New Zealand is ranked first in the world in terms of using a screw cap for wine. Worldwide, the use of a screw cap for wine bottles are increasing. Because screw caps remove the risk of cork taint and they are good to keep the aroma and flavor of wine. I heard that there were lots of other reasons to switch from a cork to a screw cap. However I prefer a cork wine to a screw cap one. I like to twist the cork out from a wine bottle and I love the sound of a cork popping!

Prenzel Kumeu
There were the wide range of schnapps, liqueurs and fruit brandies. I tryed a few strong liquors but I couldn't drink up. I didn't have a stomach for hard liquor. I have never felt that hard liquor tastes good....

As well as those drinks there were lots of food products, jam, honey and mustards, from New Zealand manufacturers. I brought 3 bottles of jam to take home. They were really heavy to take home but they tasted wonderful!
