We headed for Bag End while listening to the guide's commentary. He pointed out various features and places to look at.

Bag End
Is the most famous Hobbit hole, Bilbo and Frodo lived there! Of course there wasn't any decorations, a bench, a street lamp and the beautiful flowers around the hole. But we could enter in the hole, which was the only hole we could get in. (More Images...)

Gandalf drove up on this narrow path to greet his old friend, Bilbo. The big oak tree above Bag End in the movie was no longer there.

We had to bend down to enter. All of the interior scenes were filmed in a movie studio in Wellington so there was nothing to see inside. But the sights through the round window and door were quite unique! I felt like I was a Hobbito! (More Images...)

The view of Hobbiton from the window.

We took turns taking photos of Bag End. (More Images...)

One Hobbit was still living there!

The view that Bilbo and Frodo would see every day when they went out.

Entrance of Bag End
These days, Bag End is crowded with many men, not a Hobbit to be seen. (More Images...)

View from Bag End
The Party Tree, the party field and the pond. It's exactly the same as the scene from the movie!

Left side view from Bag End
Bilbo left the One Ring behind in his house and went on his final journey.... (More Images...)
