View from Bag End
This is the exact site and view that Bilbo and Gandalf were overlooking while smoking their pipe on a bench beside Bag End. The circle of smoke from Bilbo's pipe and the ship coming from Gandalf's pipe through the circle were moving in the direction between the big trees before it vanished.... (More Images...)
Looking down from the top of the hill
We walked up the slight slope toward the top of the hill and stood above Bag End hole.
Big oak tree above Bag End
There were tons of different parts from the big oak tree, including some of the bolts and hinges. The tree had been cut down and removed from another place and it had been reconstructed above Bag End for filming. Artificial oak leaves were imported from Taiwan. The leaves were then attached to the reconstructed branches of the tree.
Footstep down to the field surrounded by the Hobbit holes
There were about 17 holes remaining. All of the holes, except Bag End, were just white appearance with their holes boarded-up to shut out the sheep. I really enjoyed the guided sight tour and headed back to the Shire's Rest.
I got off the tour bus at the gate, which I had gotton on. And I had lunch that Robert provided at the Shire's Rest. But I couldn't eat the whole thing because my stomach was Hobbit size. It was too much!

The scenery of Hobbiton, including the Party Tree, was painted on the wall.
After lunch, we fed a herd of sheep. The sheep looked cute but they were quite agressive.... Then I went back to Auckland while watching the movie "The Fellowship of the Ring", the first one , on the overhead monitor. But I couldn't watch the whole of it. The movie was too long to watch on my way back. It was the only regret about this tour! I was keen to watch the rest of the movie when I got off at my hotel.

Toilet was designed and based on a Hobbits house. I wondered if the toilets were just Hobbit size!
