After we checked-in at the hotel, we wasted no time going out for some beer!

Good beer and snacks to go with the beer ... that was heaven!

"Fischer's" is one of the local beers in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The brewery is located in Moessingen, which is about 30km away from Tuebingen and it is a medium-sized regional brewery.

On that day, Germany was playing a World Cup soccer game. We thought that the famous beer restaurant would offere a big screen for the World Cup, so we headed to the Neckermueller beer restaurant on the river bank.

Is is a regional brewery in Tuebingen. Well located on the banks of the Neckar river, its restaurant serves great beer and food.
There used to be several local breweries in Tubingen but now there is only Neckermueller brewery.

Neckermueller is well-known for its wonderful Weiss Bier(white beer), "Neckermueller Weiss Bier". Weiss Bier is served with a slender glass and its shape tapers towards the base like in these photo.

"We enjoyed watching a live broadcast of the game on a large screen while drinking the great beer..." is what I'd like to say, but ....The beer garden with a big screen was crowded with MANY people and in front of the screen was already full of supporters. It was a bigger public viewing site than we expected!

People were enjoying the World Cup soccer game in their own way. A young girl, dressed in a black t-shirt, a red skirt and yellow tights, was very prominent. She was like the avatar of the German flag!

We were lucky enough to get a seat along the river but we could hardly watch the screen with so many standing people in the way. So we enjoyed drinking beer while watching the supporters' reactions!

The German team was strong from the start so we could relax and drink beer!
