View from the town center of Berchtesgaden. Berchtesgaden is a very small town surrounded by rugged mountains.

Hofbrauhaus is the most famous brewery in Germany and there is one of its directly-managed factories in Berchtesgaden. So you can enjoy wonderful Hofbrauhaus's beer all over the town.

I finally learned about the serving portions at German restaurant from experience. So this time I ordered a chicken salad. I think that salad should always be a light dish all over the world....But the salad was covered with many chicken strips! It was the larger than I expected!
I don't have any idea of what kind of food I should order out of Japan!

Berchtesgaden is a famous tourist destination but the town itself is very small. There are several nice cafes and restaurants, however it doesn't have much to offer tourists. All tourist attractions and activities are out of the town.

Konigliches Schloss Berchtesgaden is the only tourist attraction in the town center.

Berchtesgaden is located between Germany and Austria and you can find nice souvenirs; Mozart-designed chocolate and candy from Austria.

I had been mentally broken down by the mountain of chicken salad at lunch so I went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner.
I was served a mountain of Chinese noodles...I half expected that.
Having a meal outside Japan is always kind of battle against a mountain of food!

The weather had been nice since I came to Germany. But, inevitably, it looked like the weather was getting worse....
