I ate breakfast early in the morning and everything was set up for travel to my next destination. However, my next destination, Mainz is just 10 minutes away from Wiesbaden by train, so I went around the nearby park to pass the time.

Walking down the street from "Hotel am Kochbrunnen" toward the station, you will see beautiful buildings. The building which has a dome-like roof is the Kurhaus(Cure-house). It is an entertainment center, which includes a casino. It is a popular tourist destination.

Wiesbaden is known as a spa and health resort and there is a luxury casino and state theater as in Baden-Baden, which is another world-class health resort in Germany. But in both cases, they seemed inaccessible for the average person, like me. There aren't any casino in Japan, so most Japanese people are less familiar with casinos....

The Kurhaus, casino and the theater is located between 2 big parks, "Warmer Damm" and "Kurpark". Going to the back of the casino, you will see "Kurpark".

There is a beautiful lake, lush vegetation, well-manicured lawn and there are even squirrels! It looked like an oasis of relaxation for locals. It was the perfect place to pass the time.
