When getting off at the Wengen's cable car station, you will find a path up to the actual summit of Maennlichen in front of the station.

It was about a 20-minute walk up to the actual summit, Gipfel of Maennlichen. It was a great viewpoint over the valley!

I came back to the cable car station and this time I started to walk to Kleine Scheidegg in the opposite direction of Gipfel of Maennlichen.
The way from Maennlichen to Kleine Scheidegg is a popular hiking trail for beginner hikers and it is well-known as one of the most scenic hiking paths in the area, because while walking toward Kleine Scheidegg, you are always facing the great views of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau peaks.

There were lots of good places to take photos on the way.

When I was about two thirds of the way along the trail, only 20 minutes from the end, something unbelievable happened!
By chance I looked forward and I saw lots of people going up the steep hill away from the main trail.
"Oh, non Japanese people have lots of energy as always.ha-ha...."
At first, I thought that there were so many hikers who felt short of fun. But it was a huge misunderstanding. The trail was CLOSED to hiking due to a landslide!!
