Finally, I said goodbye to hiking back and forth and I headed to my next destination, Baden.
Baden is located 25km northwest of Zurich, on the west bank of the river Limmatis. It is a small historic town with a very good atmosphere.
Like the name says, Baden is mainly renowned for its hot springs, so I stayed at the Hotel Atrium with a hot spring. It was a charming and welcoming hotel with an old-fashioned feel.
In the town of Baden, there were several full-scale hotels, clinics for hot-spring treatment and hotels wtih kitchens for long-stay travelers. I truly felt that Baden was for hot spring lovers!
By the way, you can see familiar-looking signs for hiking trails in downtown Baden. If you feel short on hiking, you can start to hike from Baden to various places. For your information, the signs said "to Zurich 6h". That means 6 hours!!
I definitely didn't want to hike because I'd walked long enough....
After enjoying a hot spring, I had a wanderful dinner at my hotel, unlike the previous day when I'd eaten a Big Mac. Perhaps it would be the last decent meal....
