Koblenz is a city situated on both banks of the Rhine and the Moselle. The intersection of the two rivers is called "Deutsches Eck (German Corner)" and there is an enormous statue honoring the German Emperor Wilhelm I. It is the most popular tourist attraction in Koblenz. Have a look at these beautiful pictures, which are provided by my travel guide.
You can go up to the upper part of the massive monument. The view from there is supposed to be wonderful, like the upper picture from the travel guide...but....

"Deutsches Eck (German Corner)" was under renovation!!

It was very disappointing to learn that we couln't even approach the corner!

The Rhine and the Moselle meet at the Deutsches Eck. Each river differs in color, the water of the Moselle is darker than the Rhine and the water of the Rhine is cafe au lait!
To our surprise, the converge of the two rivers remains two distinct colors.

Schaengel Fountain
Is a symbol of Konlenz and it is one of the tourist attractions in Koblenz.
I heard that it is well-known for the statue of a boy spiting water between every now and then. If you come too close to him at the wrong time and you stand at the wrong place, you'll get soaked!

This photo is provided by my travel guide. I'm not sure why, we couldn't find the famous fountain! Instead, I found a unique manhole cover. The design included the same picture of the statue of a boy.

We ate Thai curry again! We had eaten Thai curry at this restaurant before! Thai curry is absolutely delicious. Spicy food goes with beer!!

Instruction board of the fire extinguisher. I saw it in our accomodation. The instruction demands too much of a technical ability from us! I think that it's very difficult if not impossible!
