A square in the heart of the old town is called the Am Market and there is usually a farmer's market here in the morning on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you like local markets, this is definitely the place for you. The square is surrounded by beautiful half-timbered houses and stone-built houses. If you aren't interested in the market, it is still well worth a visit.
Tubingen Rathaus(Townhall)
The town hall on the main square is worth taking a close look at. Be sure to look at the astronomical clock at the top, the wonderful facade of the building and the Neptune fountain in front.
Tuebingen is famous for its well-preserved old town.
There are several interesting old houses and it is fun to take a scenic walk.
This building is a part of the university facilities. Numerous bicycles parked on the streets are common in Tuebingen and it appeared that it was a typical university town.
Colorful houses line the bank of the Neckar river and I think that the sight from this main bridge is the most famous in Tuebingen.
There is a famous punt boat race along the Neckar river in June. In summer, tourist season, boat tours are available as an attraction. From in front of the round tower on the bank, visitors can take boats like these long, punt boats. I highly recommend booking a seat in advance, otherwise you can't take a boat, like us.
