Hohentubingen Castle
Climb up from the the old town along the front of Hotel Am Schloss, there is an ornately-decorated gate of Hohentubingen Castle.

Going through the gate, you will find a beautiful garden. You can get wonderful views of the old town from there.

Today a university occupies the castle and a small part is reserved as a museum. We didn't visit the museum, but the stroll around the castle is very pleasant.

Be sure to walk across the inner courtyard and go through the tunnel. It will take you the back of the castle.
You'll find a spot with beautiful views overlooking the surrounding countryside.

left: We took a peek inside through an open window and could see movement. The castle is used as a research center by the university, so perhaps, a class was in session.
It is fantastic to have lectures inside this ancient building, however, I never wish to go back to my school days. I was so tired of sitting at a desk all day!

We ate German local food for the first time in a long time.

As you can see, there were piles of noodles and beans.

I couldn't eat the whole thing. It was the same as always for me in other countries....

We drank &Schwaben Braeu". I felt full but still had room for the beer. I always have room for beer.
