Kelsteinhaus is a historical building but today, it is used as a restaurant.
Other rooms, besides the restaurant, can be only visited with a tour guide.
Once again, I had to kill time by having lunch until better weather came along. The mountain of meat sauce spaghetti was nice food to pass the time!
The restaurant has an indoor dining area and an outdoor beer garden. If the weather was nice, I was planned to have a beer at the outside beer garden with panoramic views around. It was too bad.
right:
The fireplace at the restaurant was a birthday gift to Hitler from Mussolini, who was an Italian politician who led the National Fascist Party.
But there isn't even a sign about the fireplace and if you don't have any information about this historical building you will miss it!
If you visit the Eagle's Nest without joining a guided tour, there isn't much to see inside of the building. There are only some articles on the walls and a short film on a monitor.
There was nothing to do inside of the building so I stepped out of the building with an umbrella.
I was supposed to enjoy spectacular views but everything was still all covered in white mist....
Then, I was really lucky!
During my stroll around the peak, the weather got better!
