After having a hasty breakfast, I headed to one of "the 10 good reasons for visiting Bamberg".
Fassla Brewery
Fassla Brewery offeres a wide variety of home-brew beers in its restaurant and it offeres guest rooms from 2nd floor and up.
I had wanted to stay at their guest room but the information on their website was limited. It was all in German and only included a phone & fax number.
As a result, I gave up. That's typical of my shy, Japanese nature!
Though it wasn't yet 10 a.m., there were some regular locals who were chatting & drinking beer.
They were all middle-aged men. It is a common sight in Germany. Sometimes, I'm worried that this may be a cause of friction between the men and their wives....
I headed to my next destination, "Mahr's Braeu". It wasn't easy to look for the desired brewery using only a town map.
The streets were overly complicated and it was like a maze!
Mahr's Braeu
It took about 20-30 minutes walk from Fassla Brewery. It was tough work to walk the long distance in the hot summer sun.
However, there was nothing like cold beer after that work!
I went back to my hotel and I ate a sandwich in my room.
It took about 45 minutes walk back from Mahr's Braeu to my hotel and I got really tired from the scorching sunlight.
The summer in Europe was more scorching hot than I expected. I needed to buy another sunscreen with a high-protection factor!
