It was a lovely sunny day for hike!
I checked in at the hotel and I went straight to Allmendhubel, which is a amall mountain above Muerren.

Allmendhubel with a summit elevation of 1912m is a famous place to enjoy excellent views of the mountains. A cute funicular takes hikers to the popular peak in only a few minutes. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy great views of the snow-capped Alpine peaks including the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau, on the opposite side of the valley.

Allmendhubel is also an ideal starting point to hike in the region. There are numerous hiking trails which lead up to the higher mountains or down the Allmendhubel. I took one of the scenic hiking paths in the area.

At that time of year in summer, millions of wildflowers are in full bloom!
It was the swiss landscape that everyone expects!

During my hike, I took a beer break at a restaurant, as usual.
Muerren is also a world-famous skiing resort and the restaurant is popular among skiers during the winter. I really hope to visit there again in winter.

I kept going downhill, following the signs to Muerren and I arrived at the Schilthorn aerial ropeway station in Muerren. It is on the opposite side of the village from the train station.

I heard that popular hiking trails in Switzerland are well-kept and it is easy to hike for beginner-hikers. That was true and I saw lots of hiking trail signs on the hiking paths.
However, generally there are too many signs which point in the same direction and to the same destination.
There were so many signs that instead of making it easier, it was more confusing! I thought I had chosen tha right trail, but in reality, I can't say whether the path I chose was the path that I intended to choose or not....
