After walking on the flower trail, once again I took the aerial ropeway at Sunnegga and I headed to the top of Blauherd. It was my third visit to Blauherd today!
This time, I headed to Zermatt and I started to walk down the mountains with the aerial ropeway on my right. After a while, a panoramic view like a postcard opened out before me. It is really fun no matter how many times I walk on this trail.
The path between Sunnegga and Zermatt is called "Gourmetweg(gourmet trail)" and it is also one of the themed trails.
There were several nice restaurants along the trail and all the restaurants have a wonderful views from the terrace.
You can enjoy beer with a great atmosphere.
After reaching the town of Zermatt, I made a toast to myself for my hiking efforts!!
The time required to walk from Blauherd to Zermatt via Sunnegga was about 3 hours, and its difference in altitude was nearly 1000m!
Therefore, going down the mountains was harder on my knees than I expected. Even though it was only my 2nd day of hiking, my knees hurt....
Just to tell you, my pedometer recorded 36,217 steps today! Wow!
