I got on the aerial ropeway at Sunnegga Paradise and I went to the top of Blauherd again. I was going to walk another themed hiking trail, Blumenweg(Flower trail) from the Blauherd station.
A wild landscape was spread out around the Blauherd station and the start of the flower trail was a little tricky to find.
Anyway, I followed the hiking sign to my left with my back to the station.
I wandered around there and I found an information board about local wild flowers. From there, it was easy to trace the flower trail.
There are many information boards along the trail and it is a perfect place for people who like the wild mountain flowers.
When I visited there, there were places with snow still on the ground and the flowers were not quite in full bloom. However, it was fine with me. After all, this wasn't a school trip. It's not like I was that interested in learning about local wild flowers anyway.
The trail passed through the wild and rocky field. There was nothing which reminded me of its name "Flower trail", except for the information boards. When it gets warmer, there might be flowers all around....
The flower trail runs to Sunnegga Paradise via a small village, Tufteren. It's about 4.3km long and takes 1hr 20m to walk the entire length.
It's introduced as an easy hiking trail for families. It was true but the way from Tufteren to Sunnegga paradise was almost all uphill and it was a boring path through a shady forest. It made me more tired than I expected....
