Is a tiny wine shop in front of the Levi ski slope in Levi village. However, there was a wide variety of fresh Lappish wines and it was a shop worth visiting.
I only had a taste of Lappish wines. I didn't remember the price for the tasting but it was cheap. Lappish wine was made from berries, not grapes. There were many different types of Lappish wines, which were made of different kinds of Finnish berries. I heard that there were a few wines made from grapes in Finland.
Jouluviini(red wine). "Joulu" meant "Christmas" and "viini" meant "wine" in Finnish. The cute label said "Hyvaa joulua(Marry Christmas)".
Tunturin Vaalee(white wine made from green currant).
Poroviini(red wine made from blueberry). "Poro" meant "reindeer" in Finnish. The label has a picture of a reindeer and it looked very Finnish.
Kultaviini(white wine made from cloudberry). Maybe, "Kulta" meant "gold" in Finnish. I didn't know about this kind of berry and I'd never heard of the name. It grows in the Nordic countries, especially in Finland and I heard that its also grown in Japan. It is said it is popular in Hokkaido, the most northern part of Japan.
Souvenir shop near the ski slope
Funny hats and a husky dog figure. I wasn't sure why they were selling such funny hats like this was just a joke, or not.
There were several souvenir shops in central Levi. I often walked around here to kill time. Though there were lot of interesting items there I didn't buy anything. Because my trip had just begun! It was really too bad!
I wasn't sure what these were, perhaps brooms?
A funny carving in front of a supermarket.... I thought it was more creepy than cute. Do you think it is cute or not?
