Cartoons
There was not much to do but watch TV after dinner so I watched several cartoons in Finnish.

center:
I learned some Finnish words, "isa" from the cartoons "Finding Nemo". The word "isa" meant "father" in Finnish.

right:
Cartoon like Mickey Mouse. That wasn't exactly it, but it's close....

Children's program
I thought the sense of character design was a little bit different than it was in Japan.

Finnish words
A weather report was the only Finnish Tv program which I could understand what they were talking about. Because I watched it intensly, I memorized lots of Finnish words such as the following.

sunnuntai(Sunday) ,maanantai(Monday) ,tiistai(Tuesday)
keskiviikko(Wednesday) ,torstai(Thursday) ,perjantai(Friday)
lauantai(Saturday), aamu(morning), aamupaiva(morning)
iltapaiva(afternoon), yo(night), keskiyo(midnight)
tanailtana(tongiht), aste(air temperature), umi(snow), sade(rain)

These words were very useful for the rest of my trip!

TV program...?
On these shows a number of selection questions were asked one after the other. And they had countdowns on the display. They were probably TV programs like the lottery.... I didn't quite understand what TV programs they were but they helped me learn how to ask questions!

The Levi Times
Was the only English local paper for tourists. There were lots of interesting articles about the winter season of Lapland and advertisements for Levi's winter activites in the paper. The special report was "How do animals survive the winter in Lapland". I have nothing to do so I read the paper over and over again with the help of a dictionary!

There was an article about the dog park, which I had visited with Lapland Safaris Ltd. The article told the story of wolf-dogs in the dog park.

Irish pub
It seemed that it would be opening on Dec 7th. Unfortunatly, I couldn't go there because I was leaving Levi on this day.
