I met a Japanese girl on my way here from the city center and we had lunch together. We shared a pizza to save a bit of money, however we couldn't stand for a beer. I thought I had met someone who would be my friend for life because she also really loved beer!

A tourist information was inside the shopping mall. If you want, you can get your certification for reaching the arctic circle. ...Of course, it wasn't free!
By the way, I didn't buy the certification because I had visited Levi before I came here. Actually, Levi was situated far inside the Arctic Circle. I should have visited Rovaniemi first...?

In the shops most goods were related to Christmas and winter. I wondered if I came here in summer, what the items would be like?

The shopping mall was full of Santa Claus!!

There were lots of interesting items in the shopping mall.

left:
Canned elk! I felt like it and didn't feel like it or if. I should bring it back to Japan.

There were probably tonttus.... I heard that tonttu was a kind of elf of the forest and they had a red pointy hat and a white beard. Come Christmas season, they always work as Santa Claus's assistant. I had been plenty sure that they were all Santa Claus....

right:
I found something strange among the Christmasy items on the top of the shelf. I didn't know why but, a Japanese doll in a traditional costume and a Japanese figure called "daruma". They really looked like they were out of place.

This was the most interesting item which I found in the shops! It was a cushion combined with a stuffed husky!
