While we went in and out of the cottage, the faint aurora near the mountains disappeared and another one started to spread all over the sky. It looked like the Milky Way. Shortly after 9:30, the faint aurora like the Milky Way started to change suddenly. The aurora was getting brighter and it started to stretch up towards the sky. It looked like someone was drawing a big curtain in the sky above our heads.

In a moment, the aurora got bigger and brighter! It was changing in form and at every moment, we couldn't take our eyes off the aurora.

We enjoyed an amazing spectacle like these!

As we stayed out to see the northern lights in the cold for more than 1 hour, we had a feeling of expectation in the air for the entire time. We couldn't go back to the cottage. It was so cold we couldn't stop shivering for a while when we went back to the room.
