After enjoying Altbeer, we went shopping away from the old town. The newly developed area, offered numerous shopping amenities and it was a good place to do some shopping.
It seemed that she loved shopping and she continued to shop with unremitting energy. Her passion for shopping made me surprised and at the same time it made me wonder why she had so much shopping to do in Germany. I was worried about whether she could pack her stuff into her suitcase....

Coming back to the old town, we sensed there was an air of excitement. It was because there was a World Cup soccer game at that night, where Germany was playing. So we quickly purchased some memorabilia to appear like Germany football supporters!

We met the same Japanese men we were drinking beer with in the daytime, and our party headed to a beer restaurant.
This street was part of the area called "The longest bar counter in the world". It was fully alive with people and there was a cheerful atmosphere!

Zum Schlussel
Is one of the four beer pubs, which brew Altbier on its property in the old town, like "Zum Uerige". We were lucky enough to get a table facing a TV and we enjoyed the World Cup soccer game while drinking Altbier.

As the play continued, it looked like local fans were getting more and more excited and the place buzz with excitement.
However the game was boring for me with the score locked at nil-nil. To be honest, I'm not very interested in football because 90 minutes is a little too long for me and most of all, I usually miss the goal scene. So my friend and I said goodbye and we went back to our hotel during final phase of the game.

However, the moment I opened the door of my room, I heared deafening cries of joy from the window! The roar got louder and louder so I ran up to the TV. When I turned on my TV, I received the news that the game ended with a 1-0 victory for Germany and supporters all over Germany gave a scream of delight! Unlucky me. I missed a great chance to share the excitement with the local soccer fans.
I thought as much from the start. I guess I'm out of luck and just as I thought, football and I don't mix. So I'm not going to like football....
