The Bard on Avon (English pub)
I heard that it was a traditional English pub, which served a wide variety of English beer, as well as having a large selection of New Zealand beers. By the way, is there any difference between English pubs and Irish pubs...?
left, center: The pub had a relaxed atmosphere and it was more spacious than it looked from outside.
right: The soup of the day and Guinness beer. The Guinness tasted wonderful!
The Osakaya
A Japanese restaurant. There were many kinds of Japanese light food, Onigiri(rice ball), Udon(Japanese wheat noodles), Ramen(Japanese style Chinese noodles), Yakisoba(Japanese style fried Chinese noodles), Teishoku(it has a main dish and a side dish, plus rice and miso soup) ...etc. The prices were very reasonable.
Sushi shop
There were many kinds of sushi lunch boxes, including Nigiri-zushi(hand-rolled sushi with raw fish on the top), Maki-zushi(vinegared rice wrapped in a sheet of dried seaweed with various ingredients in the center). Salmon Nigiri-zushi, Salmon Maki-zushi...all the raw fish in the shop were salmon! Is there another raw fish for making Sushi in New Zealand?
