TSS Earnslaw Steamship Cruise & Walter Peak Farm Excursions

I booked a steamship cruise tour across Lake wakatipu at a ticket office near the pier. I talked to the Japanese staff in English.... The ticket price of the steamship cruise was NZ$36. This cost including the Walter Peak Farm Excursion was NZ$55.

TSS Earnslaw Steamship Cruise
I heard that in the past it used to be a 6 - 7 hour cruise from Queenstown to Walter Peak Farm. But it took only 1 hour by the TSS Earnslaw of today. There were no waves, it was warm inside the cabin so the cruise was very comfortable.

There were lots of children on a school excursion and they were very excited. It was really noisy just like in a shool ground!

An engine room
The TSS Earnslaw was a vintage steamship and is one of the last remaining coal fired cruise ships in the south hemisphere. People said that it was the last one in good working condition. She has been transporting goods, sheep, cattle and passengers from farms to lakeside stations on Lake Wakatipu since 1912. These days the ship continues to carry passengers on scenic cruises. The ship is a twin-screw steamer, and was given its name, TSS Earnslaw.

The beautiful mountains were capped with snow. If I lived in such a wonderful place like this, I'm sure I would live a care-free lifestyle.
