The old town was nestled on the bank of the Neckar river and it was quite small. It was easy to see main attractions of the town by walking.

There were lots of stores along the main pedestrian street, which was called "Hauptstrasse", and it was very busy. However, when you take turn out of the main street , there were lots of quiet narrow streets with typical buildings.

---

I couldn't understand why most of European old buildings had human-shaped carvings like this! If I saw them at midnight, I'm sure I would be scared!.

However, this head of knight in armor was so cute!

There were also department stores along the main street. I often went into the stores to use their restroom! Of course, it was paid toilets!!

Trees on the street were started to illuminate one after another. Christmas was only just around the corner.
