The next day in the morning, I went around the town.
The traffic signs have been well-designed so that visitors from foreign countries could understand them. The town was popular destination for tourist indeed. I heard that a popular way to see the whole town was to take a horse carriage.
Though it was early in the morning, people were drinking Gluehwein(Mulled wine).
View from the town
"Rothenburg ob der Tauber" is a shortened form of "Rothenburg oberhalb der Tauber". It means "Rothenburg above the Tauber" in German. This is because Rothenburg is located on a hill overlooking the Tauber river.
I walked down the slope to the river. There were several paths on the slope and it was like a maze.

View from the Tauber Valley
The name "Rothenburg" comes from the German words "Rot (Red)" and "Burg (medieval fortified town)". "Rot(Red)" refers to the red color roofs houses which overlook the valley. When I looked up the town from the valley, actually it looked like a fortified town!
Obviously, the streets were more crowded with tourists than few days ago.
