Ausleger(forged iron sign)
One of the pleasures in walking around the town is to see forged iron signs outside a store. Each stores have individual forged iron sign and they were all wonderful in their own style.

Helmet-shaped sign
This hanging sign is for Hotel Eisenhut. "Einsenhut" means "monk's hood" in English.

Swan-shaped sign
This sign with glittering swan is hanged on the entrance of a gasthof(German style accommodation).

Pegasus-shaped sign
It is also a sign of a gasthof.

Deer-shaped sign
It is a sign of a hotel. The red color something on it, under the the deer is a kind of castle and it is the mark of Rothenburg.
"Rot" means red and it refers to the red color roof of the houses in the town and "Burg" means fortress.

Horse-shaped sign
It is a sign of a hotel.

Lion-shaped sign
The lion holding a red castle is a sign of a hotel.

Bell-shaped sign
It is a sign of a gasthof.

Bear-shaped sign
It is a sign of a hotel.
