Ratstrinkstube (City Councilors Tavern)
Is one of the tourist attractions in Marktplatz. The windows on each side of the clock open every hour from 11a.m. to 3p.m. and again from 9p.m. to 10p.m. to show a scence of the "Meistertrunk(Master Draught)".
According to the legend of "Meistertrunk(Master Draught)", dating back 1631, the mayor of Rothenburg tried to drink 3 liters of Franken wine at one draft to save the town from destruction by their enemy. It was the only way to save the town and he really make it!

Rotenburg Christmas market will start from tonight, the streets began to come alive with tourists. I could hardly believe the quiet of recent days!

Still not dark but stalls in the market already opened.

I had nothing to do until the opening ceremony for the Rotenburg Christmas market and I wandered around town. Rothenburg is famous for its well-preserved medieval town and you can see lots of shops selling replicas of medieval arms. The funny thing was that there were Lord of the Rings-related goods under the cloak of of medieval arms and I laughed without thinking.

In addition, Japanese armors were also displayed among the medieval arms!

I can't say what they were....I was not sure, but maybe the right photo shows the correct usage of them.

Maybe, this is a mailbox. It's collection time is only once a day! It is really an easygoing town.

My most memorable thing was that there was a dog house in the stone wall! This town is a well-preserved medieval town indeed!

There are lots of souvenir shops with big dolls.
