It took a lot of time to find the brewery. I crossed bridges many time and wandered around for an hour or more. After a while, it began to rain and soon it changed to snowy rain. As temperatures went down, I became discouraged many times....

Restaurant "Schlenkerla"
Bamberg is a beautiful town with lots of nice restaurants and cafes. However there is one more thing that makes Bamberg well-known. It is a local specialty, distinctive dark beer called "Rauchbier". "Schlenkerla" is one of the most famous breweries for its "Rauchbier" and it runs the restaurant "Schlenkerla ".

"Rauchbier" had a distinctive taste and unique strong aroma, like smoked ham and beer together.
Have a look at the picture of beer glass. My camera lens immediately misted up because of the temperature difference between the room and outside. I couldn't wait to drink "Rauchbier" until my lens cleared up. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of "Rauchbier"!!!

It was a cosy German restaurant. There was a special atmosphere that couldn't be described in words. People I met there were all so friendly and cheerful.
The day on my trip that I planned to visit Bamberg ended up being a snowy rain. It rained off and on during all day. However Bamberg was a beautiful town and people were wonderful. Of course, the local beers were excellent! I really thought that Bamberg was definitely worth a second visit!!

When I went back to Nuernberg again, it stopped raining and it was dark. The castle was lit up and it was so beautiful.
center,right: I tried another mulled wine at the market. That was my thrid times to drink German mulled wine. I really liked it.

Korian style sushi. It was my first Asian food in a long time. It was great!!!
